I love you more than I could ever explain and I thank God everyday for bringing us together. You are the love of my life, my husband, my best friend.

Jesus Messiah - Chris Tomlin
I am so excited for Easter. Lord, help me to use this Lent as a time to grow in humility and service, putting You first always and trusting in Your plan for my life.
He became sin
Who knew no sin
That we might become His Righteousness
He humbled himself and carried the cross
Love so amazing
Love so amazing
Jesus Messiah
Name above all names
Blessed Redeemer
Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah
Lord of all
His body the bread
His blood the wine
Broken and poured out all for love
The whole earth trembled
And the veil was torn
Love so amazing
Love so amazing, yeah
Jesus Messiah
Name above all names
Blessed Redeemer
Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah
Lord of all
All our hope is in You
All our hope is in You
All the glory to You, God
The light of the world
Jesus Messiah
Name above all names
Blessed Redeemer
Emmanuel
The rescue for sinners
The ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah
Lord of all

Monday... Oh Monday
As I sit here on this Monday morning, drinking stale coffee in my cubicle, the desire for a change is so much stronger than its ever been. I wish I was at home right now, chasing after little ones, playing games and reading stories. I want nothing more than to be a mother and raise a houseful of little Catholic children. I know God has a plan for us, but I’m starting to become very impatient. People tell me to relax, that we’ve only been married for 5 months, but the desire is so strong that I know it’s from Him. I pray every day for help with being thankful for where I am and not always wanting to be some where else. Lord, help me to treasure the moment that I am in and look at every day as a gift from You, not to be wished away, but to be savored and enjoyed.

Fiat
“Behold the handmaid of the Lord;
let it be done to me according to your word”
let it be done to me according to your word”
Luke 1:38
Today is one of the most inspirational days for me as a young Catholic woman. The Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, the day that Mary said “yes” to God and took on the role as Mother to our Savior. Mary was much younger than me, 14 as most Biblical scholars believe, and was able to say yes to God, placing all of her trust in Him. Being an unwed mother has become much more acceptable in today’s society but in Mary’s time, it was punishable by death. How deep her faith had to be in order to put her life on the line for God. Am I able to do that? Although I am fairly certain I will never be asked to carry the child of God, can I say “yes” to smaller things that may come up? It’s easy to say that I trust God’s plan for my life but would I be able to put everything I know on hold if God called me to something greater? Have I become so comfortable in my daily life that I would hesitate to go somewhere or do something that God was calling me to? Not only is Mary the mother of our Church, but her FIAT is an example to the trust we need to place in our Lord. Even if it might seem scary or uncertain, we need to answer God with a resounding “YES” when He asks us to trust Him.
